ambition

  • AmbITion: is a £1.2m Arts Council funded pilot led by Hannah Rudman, Rudman Consulting. Established an approach for digital development, knowledge sharing and learning to be nationally rolled out. (Clients of AmbITion are: Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, Oldham Coliseum, North West Disability Arts Forum, Ludus Dance, Litfest, Longsight Youth Arts, FirstSite, New Wolsey Theatre, New Writing Partnership, The Poetry Trust, Britten Sinfonia, Aldeburgh Music, Colchester Arts Centre)
  • AmbITion Scotland: a £1m programme for digitally developing Scottish arts organisations, Rudman Consulting are the lead consultants.
  • Arts Council England National Office, and  NE Office: We worked with regional and national offices on digital development policy – this involved establishing pilots; guidelines; events and provocations.
  • Arts Magnet: Arts Magnet was a digital development agency for the NW. In 2006, it was commissioned by Arts Council England NW to audit the region’s Regularly Funded Organisations in relation to IT and Digital Content. This led to the AmbITion project. (Arts Magnet clients: Hallé, Contact Theatre, Grizedale Arts, Cornerhouse, Mid Pennine Arts, Bridgewater Hall, Urbis)
  • Bluecoat Arts Centre: with folly consult, Rudman Consulting undertook the IT planning for the new build and developed and implemented the IT strategy for the re-opening of the arts centre. See the video about it in my videos section.
  • Brinkburn Music Festival: working on a digital strategy to encompass organisational and business development and global opportunities for artistic product dissemination.
  • Edinburgh Printmakers & Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop & Still Gallery: with folly consult, Rudman Consulting worked to consolidate the data and some operational functions of the three Edinburgh technical providers to create greater organsiational efficiency for all.
  • Festivals Edinburgh: We worked with Festivals Edinburgh, the umbrella body of Edinburgh’s Festivals, to develop a digital strategy that will underpin Edinburgh’s Festivals as the biggest and best arts festival in the world.
  • folly: Rudman Consulting led a business development consultancy for folly, a media arts agency that now runs a successful consultancy arm, folly consult, to help the arts sector with digital content and open source web development (turnover yr.1 £35k, yr 2 £50k, yr 3 £100k).
  • Green Close Studios: Together with folly consult, we worked with Green Close Studios on ideas that would help them create new digital sales channels for their work and digital support channels for artists collaborating with them.
  • Mission, Models, Money: Working as an advisor on the technology and environmental sustainability strands of the new DeFT programme.
  • National Theatre of Scotland: Delivered the Mission, Models, Money collaborative working group pilot, focussed on digital development.
  • New Art Gallery, Walsall: Work to diagnose digital opportunities for audience and product development.
  • Nascent Form Ltd. : Nascent Form Ltd are user-interface specialists and a tech start-up. Hannah worked with them on business development within the cultural and media sectors.
  • Royal Scottish National Orchestra: Delivered the Mission, Models, Money collaborative working group pilot, focussed on digital development.
  • Royal Shakespeare Company: Hannah worked as the original new media producer for the RSC from 1999-2001. No new media was actually published, and the experience taught Hannah about the problems that arts organisations would encounter – the focus her work now solves.
  • Royal Opera House: Working on business development at Immersive Education, Hannah helped to set up a publication partnership with ROH that resulted in the educational software title: Kar2ouche “Peter Grimes”.
  • Scottish Arts Council (SAC): Together with Roger Tomlinson, Rudman Consulting authored “Getting Digital” for SAC – a positioning and provocation paper ahead of the creation of Creative Scotland. Hannah also acts as Specialist Advisor to the Audience and Organisational Development department at Scottish Arts Council.
  • Scottish Ballet: Delivered the Mission, Models, Money collaborative working group pilot, focussed on digital development.
  • Scottish Chamber Orchestra: Delivered the Mission, Models, Money collaborative working group pilot, focussed on digital development.
  • Scottish Opera: Delivered the Mission, Models, Money collaborative working group pilot, focussed on digital development.
  • The Audience Business (TAB): Reviewing the Edinburgh Portal Pilot Project, and facilitating TAB’s own digital development.
